About Us
Cognition Energy was founded in 2018 and is based in Oxfordshire. The founders have over 20 years experience in battery testing, design and manufacture, 2 of whom are from the Imperial College Battery Modelling Group, world-leaders in their field.
Cognition Energy's aim is to bring leading edge thinking from science and engineering to significantly improve the performance of batteries in demanding environments. Our work divides into three areas:
We develop high performance, long life, lithium-ion rechargeable batteries that deliver the lowest possible operational cost for the user.
We offer a cell and module testing service, to help customers gather the data they need to design and validate their cells and packs, as well as offer expert advice.
We have developed CellPods, a micro thermal chamber for controlling cell temperature to provide more representative and flexible testing.
